What happened to Artisan Deli in Hollywood

Artisan Deli at 422 S Dixie Hwy in Hollywood is now Dacia Reserve. Same building, same counter. Geta ran that deli for years, and her regulars knew the case by heart and brought their families in. Dacia Reserve opened in the same room on September 5, 2026, with Sorin at the counter and a smokehouse case beside it.

Sorin did not gut the place. The address stayed, the kitchen stayed, and so did most of the people who came in every week. The full story of the name change is a page of its own, and it is short.

The counter works the way it always did. You walk in, you look at the case, you point, and you ask what something is if you do not know. It gets cut and wrapped in front of you. Smoked sausage, house salami, slănină and pastramă go by the pound, so a quarter pound is a fair way to try something before you commit to a whole one.

The case is the new part. Pork with garlic and paprika, tied by hand in hog casing, smoked slow over hardwood until it is cooked through: that is the sausage. The salami is coarser, pork and pork fat, smoked and then hung to dry until it slices thin. And the pastramă starts as pork neck, brined with garlic, black pepper and coriander long before it ever sees smoke.

The hot side of the menu is new too, and it is long. Ciorbe come by the bowl, twenty ounces, ladled to order: perișoare with three meatballs in it, rădăuțeană finished with sour cream and egg yolk, burtă that has had hours in bone broth. Mici are rolled by hand and grilled when you order them, four to a plate with fries, bread and house mustard. Sarmale come four rolls to a plate with mămăligă and sour cream.

There is also a plate of the day, a main with a bowl of ciorbă beside it, Tuesday through Sunday. It changes every day and the rotation repeats week to week, so Thursday tastes like Thursday.

Monday the doors stay shut. Any other day, come in, look at the case, and ask what is in it if you do not know. That was how it worked when Geta ran the place, and it is how it works now.
